In July of this year, the Academic Committee of Seismological Bureau of Guangdong Province reviewed the “Seismic Basic Intensity Review of Xinfengjiang Reservoir Dam and Power Plant Plant Area” and “the Study of the Seismic Activity Trend in Xinfengjiang Reservoir Area” respectively. Experts and scholars attending the meeting unanimously agreed that the two reports are rich and reliable and have adopted a variety of traditional and emerging research and analysis methods. The arguments are sufficient and the conclusions are correct. They are two new achievements of a comprehensive and systematic study of the Xinfengjiang earthquake . Based on the laws of seismic activity and seismic geology in Xinfengjiang area and its surrounding area and based on some basic understanding, the research report confirms that the main shock and the high tide of the Xinfengjiang Reservoir-induced earthquake have passed; Induced -
