黄国梁,字绍斋,原籍陕西洋县,1883年出生于山西太原。其父黄正元系清军驻太原的骑兵哨官。黄国梁于1902年考入山西武备学堂陆军部学习。在报考武备学堂前,他与阎锡山、张瑜结为异姓兄弟。1904年毕业后,三人又被清政府选送到日本留学,先入振武学校,后入陆军士官学校,为第六期生。在日期间,黄国梁虽未参加同盟会, Huang Guoliang, Zhaoshaozhai, originally from Yang County, Shaanxi Province, was born in Taiyuan, Shanxi in 1883.
