科学是从西方引进的优秀文化。它在中国一个世纪的传播过程,犹如一颗异乡的种子在中国的土地上生根、发芽、开花、结果,在不同的历史时期,随着社会环境的变迁,呈现出不同的生长特点。我长期从事科普工作,在跟外国同行交流时,总觉得有许多沟通障碍,这些障碍除了语言外,便是由于传统和制度不同形成的隔阂。如果在对外科普交流中不厘清中外科普工作的各自特色,不仅不能消除交流的障碍,难以学到真正的国外科普工作的精华,而且也难以发挥我国科普
Science is an excellent culture introduced from the West. Its spread in China a century ago is like a foreign seed taking root, germinating, blooming in the land of China. As a result, in different historical periods, with the social environment changing, it presents different growth characteristics. I have been engaged in popular science work for a long time. When I communicate with foreign counterparts, I always feel that there are many communication barriers. Apart from language, these barriers are due to the gap between tradition and system. If we do not clarify the respective characteristics of popular science popularization work in the exchange of science popularization, we can not only eliminate the barriers to communication, it is difficult to learn the essence of truly foreign popularization work,
