铈的测定原理一般是利用有变价的特点,先将其氧化为高价,然后用标准硫酸亚铁铵溶液进行滴定测得结果。但在铁矿石中含有大量的铁、硅和少量的锰、铬等都会影响测定准确性。笔者在学习前人经验的基础上拟定了铁矿石中铈的测定方法。方法是用碱熔矿样使硅分离,后用草酸沉淀稀土使与大量铁及少量锰、铬分离。再用硝酸银作催化剂、过硫酸铵氧化铈为高价,以邻菲啰林为指示剂,用标准硫酸亚铁铵溶液进行滴定。
