韩英同志现任广东省佛山市人大常委会主任，从１９７８年开始业余文学创作，迄今已整整２０年。到目前为止，他在全国各地多种报刊上已发表文学作品９００余篇，约１３０万字，已出版作品集１５种。韩英同志创作的“微篇小说”（或称“小小说”、“微型小说”），在读者中已产生广泛的影响。他自己在这方面也积累起颇为丰富的写作经验。１９９８年１１月２８日，在佛山市图书馆报告厅举行了“韩英微篇小说创作报告会”，他向数百名热心的听众畅谈了他的业余文学创作经验及他对“微篇小说”定位的看法。
