Objective To understand the smoking status of migrant workers in manufacturing industries in the Pearl River Delta and its surrounding areas in Guangdong Province and explore the influence of migratory and psychological factors on smoking behavior and provide reference for further tobacco control measures. Methods A total of 888 migrant workers from 10 manufacturing enterprises in 4 cities in the Pearl River Delta of Guangdong Province and the surrounding industrial transfer areas were surveyed using the multi-stage sampling method. A descriptive statistical analysis was conducted to describe the general characteristics of migrant workers and smoking status , Univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analysis of mobile features, psychological characteristics and other influencing factors. Results The total smoking rate of migrant workers was higher (42.2%). Migrant workers who were single or divorced, whose educational level was high school and migrated> 3 were more likely to smoke. The higher monthly personal income and smoking behavior The greater the likelihood. Migrant workers who migrate with their families are less likely to have smoked while they are in good shape. Conclusions The migratory and psychological characteristics of floating population are related to current smoking behaviors. Targeted tobacco control interventions should be carried out to reduce the tobacco-related health risks.
