笔者对2005年~2007年中国制造业企业数据库、WTO关税在线分析数据库和联合国UNcomtrade数据库进行匹配,基于熊彼特创新理论探索进口竞争和中国制造业企业产品创新之间的关系。研究结果表明:进口竞争和中国制造业企业产品创新之间存在倒“U”型关系;然后,本文使用替代变量和工具变量检验证明该研究结果稳健;最后,笔者在分类回归中考虑到制造业企业全球化战略和所处地理区域因素,进一步发现进口竞争对这些企业产品创新影响存在较大差异,并给与相应解释。
The author matches the database of Chinese manufacturing enterprises, the WTO tariff online analysis database and the UN UNtrade database from 2005 to 2007, and explores the relationship between import competition and product innovation of Chinese manufacturing enterprises based on Schumpeterian innovation theory. The results show that there exists an inverted U-shaped relationship between import competition and product innovation in Chinese manufacturing enterprises. Then, this paper uses the test of alternative variables and instrumental variables to prove that the research results are robust. Finally, The globalization strategy of manufacturing enterprises and the geographical factors of manufacturing enterprises further found that there are big differences in the impact of import competition on the product innovation of these enterprises and give corresponding explanations.
