朱子常(1874—1934),雕刻家,浙南黄杨木雕艺术的创始人。原名正伦,又名阿伦,乐清人。幼时即拜塑佛艺人潘雨亭为师,继承了塑佛业的全部技艺,不论是圆雕、泥塑、上彩、贴金、浮雕,道道手艺均能得心应手。他塑造静穆的罗汉、雄壮的金刚和天真的童子仙官,以神韵生动而名播浙南。据前人袁克文《虞初近志》记载:“子常雕刻绝精,尤擅佛像”,“神态如生,了无斧凿痕迹。”
