1916年,芥川龙之介在第四次复刊的《新思潮》上发表了短篇小说《鼻子》。该小说当时就受到其师夏目漱石的激赏,成为了芥川的代表作之一。鲁迅曾将《鼻子》译成中文,收入与周作人合编的《现代日本小说集》。芥川对这本小说集的翻译水平赞赏有加——“这本小说集比之目前日本流行的西方文艺译著,也绝不逊色”1,尽管他误将翻译自己作品的鲁迅当成了周作人。芥川后来在中国引起很大争议的《中国游记》在日本出版不久就为鲁迅
In 1916, Akutagawa Ryunosuke published the short story “Nose” at the Fourth New Journal. At that time, the novel was admired by his teacher Natsume Soseki and became one of Akutagawa’s masterpieces. Lu Xun translated “The Nose” into Chinese, and collected “Contemporary Japanese Fiction Collection” compiled by Zhou Zuoren. Akutagawa appreciates the level of translation of this collection of novels - “This book is no less popular than the current western literary translation in Japan,” 1 although he mistook him for the translation of his work Zhou Zuoren.
