Copper produced by the Duval CIEAR method is electrolytically extracted from concentrated cupric chloride solutions containing silver and other impurities, which copper must be treated as blister copper, i.e., melted first, cast into an ingot copper ingot, Electrolytic refining cathode copper. The refined copper specimen was successfully drawn into a wire and then drawn into filaments. Detailed chemical analysis and various physical test data show the potential of this refining process (patent pending) and meet the technical specifications for high conductivity oxygen free copper.
