哲理的故事:1930年的一天,清华大学教授刘文典到北大图书馆,借校勘古籍用的参考书。他一进图书馆,便把书单给了一位年轻的管理员。只见书单上列的都是些珍贵的古书,末尾还备注着“为校注书籍所需,请馆长准予借取。”管理员一看一位大学者亲自跑来借书,不敢怠慢,赶紧去请示馆长。馆长很担心这些古书一旦外借有可能会遗失,便让管理员找借口回绝了刘文典的请求。无奈,刘文典只好悻悻地离开。
