本文针对教材与学生的匹配性问题,通过对学生的问卷调查和对部分大学英语教材的横向比较和纵向分析后得出结论,大部分独立学院所使用的大学英语教材在易读性、实用性和趣味性三方面有所不足。为了更好地完成大学英语教学目标和实用性人才培养模式的要求,力求高效实现教学目标,独立学院应该采用专门针对独立学院学生英语学习情况和需求的大学英语教材,在编写教材时将易读性、实用性和趣味性三方面作为重点评估原则。
