“They look at God” is considered the finest work of Zola Neil Heston. When this work was first published in 1937, it did not receive such attention today. Since the 1970s, Zola Neil Heston and her work have gained a new understanding and evaluation. Her works mainly focus on feminism, postcolonialism, intercultural and folklore. This article intends to analyze this work from a new perspective - Jung’s prototype theory, mainly the personality mask, Animus, and personalization. Through the research on the three stages of the prototype dealt with by Jenny in the process of personalized realization, we can get the conclusion that Jeanne realized his own self.
