浙江越秀外国语学院是经国家教育部批准建立的全日制普通高等院校。学院座落于中国历史文化名城绍兴,前身为绍兴越秀外国语学校.1981年由绍兴市著名教育家邵鸿书先生所创办。印度著名诗人泰戈尔的中国学生魏风江先生任首任校长。学院于2001年5月经浙江省人民政府正式批准成立高职学院。2008年4月.经国家教育部批准正式升格为全日制本科
Zhejiang Yuexiu Institute of Foreign Languages is approved by the State Ministry of Education established full-time ordinary institutions of higher learning. The college is located in Shaoxing, a famous historical and cultural city in China, formerly known as Shaoxing Yuexiu Foreign Language School and founded in 1981 by Mr. Shao Hongshu, a famous educator in Shaoxing. Wei Fengjiang, a Chinese student at the famous Indian poet Tagore, became the first president.
