A semi-quantitative method for the determination of cyclophilin A (CyP) mRNA expression in human leukocytes was established by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) using constitutively expressed β-actin as an internal standard. The levels of CyP in 38 normal subjects were detected.
