随着我国四化建设的发展,工农业用水和民用饮水在大幅度地增加,原有水文水井钻探设备已不能满足探采的需要。为了合理开发深层地下水资源和获得水文地质资料,着重解决广大农村、山区和交通不便地区向深部找水取水的困难,应尽快提供适用性能好、经济效益高的大口径中深孔钻探设备,完善水文水井钻机的系列。由上海探矿机械厂和勘探技术研究所共同设计,于1982年9月研制成功一种易拼装组合、分件运输的转盘迴转式钻机,即SPS-600型水文水井钻机。整机外貌见图1所示。

It was jointly designed by Shanghai Prospecting Machinery Factory and Exploration Technology Research Institute. In September 1982, it successfully developed a turntable rotary drilling rig that is easy to assemble and transport in pieces, namely SPS-600 Hydrology and Water Well Drilling Machine.
