自20世纪90年代起,《金陵残梦》(1993年)、《睿王与庄妃》(1996年)、《大明遗士》(2003年)、《花月影》(2003年)、《梦惊西游》(2006年),粤剧编剧在《剧本》上陆续发表五个大型戏剧作品的,梁郁南算是第一人。然而,以上并非他粤剧舞台作品的全貌,从过往类型风格各不相同的《土缘》《三家巷》《君子桥》《牵手》《痴情英台戆山伯》《清心直道包青天》,到近年力作《小凤仙》《碉楼》《梦·红船》等作品,无不展示着这位剧作家的才华与其对粤剧舞台的赤子之情。
