Crane (RS), a Chicago school of the United States, takes the perspective of reader reaction as the point of intervention in his theory. In theory, he inherits Aristotle’s rhetoric of language rhetoric and starts with Wayne Booth’s reader-oriented Novel Rhetorical Theory. With the reinterpretation of the classical terminology such as “imitation ”, “plot ” and “formal ”, Crane proposes that plot is a combination of characters, actions and ideas, Affect and thoughts have an impact effect. This article will explain the nature of the plot, the principle of construction and the rhetorical effect in the comparative analysis of the theories of Russian formalism, French structuralism and British and American fiction theories to show the uniqueness of Crane’s plot theory: the plot of ethics and criticism.
