戈登高地人团(The Gordon Highlanders),是历史上赫赫有名的步兵团,组建于在苏格兰东北部的阿伯丁郡。1794年,为了应对英法两国之间越来越紧张的局面,英国急需组织新的军事力量。于是,贵族戈登公爵筹建了这个步兵团。有趣的是,他的夫人在这里面担当了重要角色,她承诺,如果有人应征入伍,她愿意送给那个人一个先令和她的一个吻。经过20多年的发展,1815年戈登团应征参加了对抗拿破仑的一系列战役,从而为该团历史写下了最为浓墨重彩的一章。
The Gordon Highlanders, historically famous infantry regiment, was founded in Aberdeenshire in northeastern Scotland. In 1794, in response to the increasingly tense situation between Britain and France, Britain urgently needed to organize a new military force. Thus, the aristocratic Prince Gordon set up the infantry regiment. Interestingly, his wife plays an important role here, and she promises that she will give the man a shilling if she is enlisted. After more than two decades of development, the Gordon Corps enlistment took part in a series of battles against Napoleon in 1815, thus laying the most important chapter in the history of the regiment.
