洋务运动是清廷学习西方器物以图自强的一场自救运动,但是清政府有心理障碍,觉得夷狄的东西我们不能用。李鸿章1872年第一次正式提出来,跟恭亲王说要修铁路,他觉得修了铁路对运兵很有好处。恭亲王也觉得应该修,但是阻力太大了,不敢提出来,后来李鸿章提了,结果一片反对之声,谴责他的说他是“汉奸”。但李鸿章有经验,他在他的势力范围之内建了北洋水师,北洋水师需要煤,朝廷同意他挖煤。李鸿章后来也没打报告,他挖了煤之后修了一段9.8公里长的铁路。他在上报给朝廷的时候用一些中国人最熟悉的
The Westernization Movement was a self-help movement in which the Qing government studied western artifacts to make itself stronger. However, the Qing government had psychological obstacles and felt that we could not use the barbarians. Li Hung-chang first officially proposed in 1872 that Prince Kung said he wanted to repair the railway. He thought it was good for the railway to be repaired. Prince Kung felt that he should be revised, but the resistance was too great to dare to mention. Later, Li Hung-chang mentioned the result of an objection, condemning him as “traitor”. However, Li Hongzhang had experience. He built the Northern Ocean Navy within his sphere of influence. The Northern Ocean Navy needed coal, and the court agreed that he should dig coal.
