As one of the pivotal writers in the history of Canadian literature, Margaret Lawrence dazzled the literary world by describing a large number of women of different personalities but with the same mission. Its own legendary experience and the distinctiveness of literature should become the focus of enthusiastic feminists. However, it is regrettable that people’s study of her and her works, especially the study of women, is obviously deserted. The author believes that “soothsayer” not only interprets and corroborates feminism at the time with a unique female image, but also leads the feminist direction with the tide of the tide. Based on her masterpiece “The Soothsayer”, the author interprets its profound and original connotation of feminism from three aspects to demonstrate its significance to the inheritance of feminism at that time and its enlightenment to today’s feminism.
