《过桥》是格雷厄姆·格林娱乐短篇小说,作品中的宗教寓意随着故事情节的逐步发展而愈加清晰。文章题目中的桥,故事的陈述者,故事主人公,以及并不显著但是作用却不可忽视的狗,都是作者宗教原型的寄托。故事情节紧凑,小说主人公卡罗维先生在寻找救赎的道路上有过面对桥的抉择,有着面对陈述者即上帝的愧疚,也有着对象征着忠诚和宽容的狗的厌恶。但是最终卡罗维先生成功地走上了救赎的道路,并且看到了桥另一边的风景和生活。
Crossing the Bridge is Graham Green’s short story of entertainment, and religious meanings in the works become clearer with the gradual development of the story.
