Based on the related documentary records and the phenomenon that in the tombs of the Qi State of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty,there are both burial musical instruments and female skeletons,this paper analyzes the historical authenticity,characteristics and causes of the female musicians of the Qi State of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty,drawing conclusion on their social status in the patriarchal society at that time.
