联合国每年产生大量会议文件及书刊,并通过联合国图书馆系统向全世界提供这些出版物。联合国图书馆系统是由设在联合国总部的达格·哈马舍尔德图书馆、联合国系统内各图书馆及遍布世界各地的众多的托存图书馆所组成。按规定所有联合国会员国、非会员国都有权拥有一个免费的托存图书馆,通常它设在国家图书馆或首都某个主要研究图书馆内。此外还可拥有一个或几个缴款的全部或部分文件托存馆。截止1997年3月,联合国在142个国家和地区共设有357个托存馆,其中171个全部文件托存馆,186个部分文件托存馆。我国的北京图书馆和上海图书馆为全部文件托存馆,重庆图书馆为部分文件托存部。
Every year, the United Nations produces a large number of conference documents and publications, and makes these publications available to the world through the United Nations Library System. The United Nations Library System comprises the Dag Hammarskjöld Library at United Nations Headquarters, libraries in the United Nations system and numerous depository libraries around the world. All UN member states, non-member states are required by law to have a free depository library, usually located in a national library or in one of the major research libraries in the capital. In addition, you may have one or more payment repositories for all or part of the document. As of March 1997, the United Nations has a total of 357 depository libraries in 142 countries and territories, of which 171 are all depository libraries and 186 are partial depository libraries. China’s Beijing Library and Shanghai Library for all the file storage Museum, Chongqing Library as part of the file storage.
