徐平羽(1909-1986年),原名王为雄,号红豆村人,江苏高邮人。1928年,入上海大夏大学;1930年,加入中国共产党,曾任共青团上海沪西区委秘书;1932年,参加左联,与鲁迅先生过从;1937年初,赴延安,在抗大学习,任区队长和政治教员;1938年,任新四军战地服务团秘书长、副团长,后任山东野战军纵队政治部副主任、苏皖边区政府交际处处长等;南京解放后,任南京军管会文教委员会主任兼南京博物院院长;自1950年3月始,先后任华东军政委员会高教处处长、华东文教委员会秘书长、上海市国际活动指导委员会秘书
Xu Pingyu (1909-1986), formerly known as Wang Weixiong, No. red bean village, Jiangsu Gaoyou. In 1928, he joined Shanghai Daxia University. In 1930, he joined the Communist Party of China and served as secretary of the Shanghai Communist Youth League Shanghai Huxi Committee. In 1932, he joined the League of Leftists and worked with Mr. Lu Xun. In early 1937, District captain and political instructor. In 1938, he served as Secretary-General and Deputy Head of the New Fourth Army Field Service, later served as deputy director of the Political Department of the Shandong Field Army and director of the Communications Department of the Jiangsu-Anhui Border Region Government. After the liberation of Nanjing, he served as the member of the Nanjing Military Commission Director and director of the Nanjing Museum; since March 1950, he has successively served as Director of the Higher Education Department of East China Military and Political Committee, Secretary General of East China Cultural and Education Commission, Secretary of Shanghai International Steering Committee
