As crude oil production continues to decline, the challenging issue facing the old oil fields is how to sustain economic exploitation. In order to make oilfields sustainable, one should find a way to make rational use of fixed assets, including redeploying mode of operation or suspending some production facilities. This article describes the Kilo Petrol Station, which greatly reduces costs by redeploying operating modes. The key to the success of this initiative is the full cooperation of engineering, production and various technical departments, as well as the new operational plan of the petrol station.
