This article emphasizes that comparison is the basic method of linguistic research. The article talks about three issues with rich examples: (1) Different comparisons can be applied as needed in language research and teaching; (2) Multi-angle, multi-faceted and multi-faceted comparisons should be conducted; (3) Good at every level.
