民国二十七年(1938),天福号拾掇家当,叶落归根,回归故里山西,在太原达达巷开张营业。人常说:金屋银屋不如自己的茅屋。这也就是说人在他乡,想回归故里。天福号在京城经商几代,历经清王朝七个帝王,历时二百年,回到了素有莜面栲栳栳和山药蛋著称于世的山西。京城再好,总觉得有寄人篱下之感,终于落叶归根了。天福号虽回归故里后,没有忘记创始人武勇,每逢他的忌日,都怀着虔诚的心情祭奠。
