1978年11月13日美国冶金科学家访华团R.I.Jaffee博士在北京做了“蒸汽发电厂中的冶金学发展”的学术报告,受到热烈欢迎。报告分三部分:(1)蒸汽发电厂的发展趋势及相关的冶金学问题;(2)用于低压透平末级叶片的钛合金;(3)透平转子和发电机的大锻件。本刊编辑部征得R.I.Jaffee博士同意,发表报告记录稿,供国内广大读者阅读参考.这份报告记录稿,整理以后未经本人审阅。我们希望:这份报告发表在本刊上,将有助于加强中美两国冶金科学家之间的学术交流。
On November 13, 1978, Dr. R. J. Jaffee, visiting delegation of the American Metallurgical Scientist, made a academic report entitled “Development of Metallurgy in Steam Power Plants” in Beijing and was warmly welcomed. The report is divided into three parts: (1) trends in steam power plants and related metallurgical issues; (2) titanium alloys for blades at the end of low pressure turbines; and (3) large forgings for turbine rotors and generators. Our editorial department has obtained the consent of Dr. R.I.Jaffee and published the report manuscript for the readers in our country to read the reference. We hope that this report, published in this issue, will help strengthen academic exchanges between metallurgical scientists of China and the United States.
