国际知名语言学家和蒙古语言学大师、我国现代蒙古学奠基人,《民族语文》前编委清格尔泰先生,因病于2013年12月27日在呼和浩特市逝世,享年90岁。清格尔泰,男,蒙古族,赤峰市宁城县人,生于1924年6月12日。1939-1940年在呼和浩特蒙古学院学习。1941-1945年先后在东京善隣高等商业学校、东京工业大学和仙台东北帝国大学学习。1946年2月参加工作。1947年6月在齐齐哈尔内蒙古军政大学任蒙古语文研究室主任。1954年11月参与筹建国内蒙古语族语言调查队,兼任中央民族学院蒙
