图书馆工作中的供求矛盾,是指图书馆在读者服务工作中,将图书文献提供给读者与读者对图书文献需求之间产生的矛盾。目前区级公共图书馆中普遍存在着尖锐的供求矛盾。因此,调节好读者服务工作中的供求矛盾,是关系到图书馆落实方针任务、发挥图书馆四大职能的关键。 一、目前阶段供求矛盾的表现形式和特点 在图书馆,读者对图书文献的需求会是多方面的,所以,供求矛盾的出现是必然的,如果抓住这一主要矛盾不断地加以解决,就是促进读者服务工作的开展和提高服务水平。相反,如果不能及时解决供求矛盾,就会进一步扩大和激化矛盾,因而影响图书馆服务质量的提高,影响图书馆作用的正常发挥,削弱图书馆为两个文明建设服务的效果。
