山西省南部地区原有棉花推广品种斯字4号和斯字517号,以及近年来推广的岱字棉15号和徐州209等4个品种。目前一般混杂退化严重,生产力降低,不能适应生产的要求。新育成的运城一号和运城三号也满足不了整个生产的需要,因此,山西省农业科学院运城棉花研究所(以下簡称运城棉花所)于一九五九年引入岱福棉进行試驗与試种,目的是鑑定其在本地区的适应性及利用价值。
In the southern part of Shanxi Province, the original cotton varieties Si Si No.4 and Si Zi No.517, as well as Dai Zi Cotton 15 and Xuzhou 209, which were promoted in recent years, were cultivated. The current general deterioration of mixed serious, lower productivity, can not meet the requirements of production. The newly-bred Yuncheng No.1 and Yuncheng III also can not meet the needs of the whole production. Therefore, Yuncheng Cotton Research Institute of Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences (hereinafter referred to as Yuncheng Cotton Institute) introduced Dai-fu cotton for experiment and test in 1959 The aim is to identify their suitability and value in the region.
