In 1953, Catherine, an open-minded, came from California to teach art history at the famous Weasley Women’s College in the east, where Song’s third sisters graduated from China. The United States was at a time when the liberation of women was a golden opportunity - just a few years ago, women were the main force of the United States labor force in World War II. However, Catherine found that the college is still using the same set of ideological and behavioral patterns to educate women and train good wives and mothers for successful careers. Passionate Catherine challenges unruly school authorities to challenge students’ interests and liberate their minds in entirely new ways and with content. Can she get students out of bondage and find themselves?
