二滩水电站地下厂房是我国目前最大的水电站地下厂房,其地下洞室布置集中,纵横交错,且位于高地应力区,在施工过程中曾先后发生了数十次不同规模的岩爆。为了保证地下厂房的施工进度和质量,在开挖过程中对厂房洞室的开挖程序、爆破方法、岩爆及其防范措施、高地应力围岩支护和安全保护以及围岩变形监测等方面进行了认真的研究,采取了一系列有效的措施,保证了开挖与支护的顺利进行;并为高地应力区地下洞室的开挖提供了宝贵经验
