就信仰的本质而言,它是主体表达超越性需求的一种方式。由于文化基础不同以及科学技术的发展,人们的超越性需求及其表达的方式都有所变化。从信仰内涵上看,信仰突破了纯精神性领域,以指导意义形式进入物质世界,指导信仰主体的社会实践。从信仰外延上看,宗教信仰不是信仰的惟一形式,相反它有多种形式,某种理论、主义或某个命题等也可以成为信仰对象。
As far as the nature of faith is concerned, it is a way for the subject to express transcendental needs. Due to the different cultural bases and the development of science and technology, people’s transcendental needs and the way they express themselves have changed. From the connotation of faith, the belief breaks through the field of pure spirituality, enters the material world in the form of guiding significance, and guides the social practice of the subject of belief. From the point of belief extension, religious belief is not the only form of belief, on the contrary it has many forms, some kind of theory, doctrine or proposition can also become the object of faith.
