人们送小孩上学念书,通常总是说,让小孩上学去识几个字。这种说法,一语道破了识字的重要意义,实在很有道理。因为,识字是学习文化的起点,是阅读和写作的基础。《小学语文教学大纲》规定:在小学阶段,要使学生学会常用字三千个左右。前三年学会二千五百个左右,为四、五年级较快地提高读写能力打下基础,就是这个道理。教学生识字,并不是一件很容易的事。这还得对我国文字的起源、演变和汉字的特点及其构造规律有一些粗浅的理解。只有掌握了这些知识,在教学中才能使学生加快识字的速度和提高识字的效果。
