The effect of food intake on the absorption of metribuzin has been studied in diabetic subjects. In addition to determining the serum concentration of metobutudine, blood and insulin concentrations were also monitored after meal to determine any changes in pharmacological effects of standard meye to methotrexate at different times. Fifteen diabetic subjects were each enrolled (a) with metribuzin (500 mg orally) 30 minutes before the standard meal, (b) metribuzin (500 mg orally) immediately before eating, and (c) With the same placebo. Blood samples were collected and analyzed for the concentrations of tolbutamide, glucose and insulin. The results show that the absorption of metribuzin in food is measurable
