在奥地利及其他多数欧洲国家英国紫杉濒临灭绝,被列为濒危树种。基于不同地理位置的自然群落的比较,调查了奥地利两块基因资源保育林内英国紫杉的空间结构、更新状况及可采取的保育方法等。每块样地圆杆材分布变化较大。林地Stiwollgraben内紫杉单位面积植株总数,平均胸径和平均株高分别为492n·hm-2,8.8cmand6.3m;Leininger Riese仅为45n·hm-2,16.3cmand7.6m。Stiwollgraben群落紫杉长势较好,健康植株79%以上,而Leininger Riese群落的健康植株低于49%。两块样地内紫杉更新模式差异较大,与其各自的树龄动态分布相一致。1年龄幼树相比较,Stiwollgraben林地内紫杉密度为13019株/公顷,而Leininger Riese仅为1368株/公顷。Leininger Riese林地内未发现树高51-150cm的幼树,而Stiwollgraben林地内树高30-150cm的幼树鲜能见到。这种情况下,英国紫杉林的保育需要管理完善的保护区、采伐期间采取长期轮伐,同时还要防止牲畜啃食和减轻种间竞争,以此来增强红豆杉的生存能力。图4表4参41。
In Austria and most other European countries, British yew is endangered and is classified as an endangered species. Based on the comparison of natural communities in different geographical locations, the spatial structure, renewal status and possible conservation methods of English yew in Austria conserved in two gene resources were investigated. The distribution of rods in each sample varies greatly. In Stiwollgraben forest, the total number of plants per unit area, the average diameter at breast height and the mean plant height were 492n · hm-2 and 8.8cmand 6.3m respectively; Leininger Riese was only 45n · hm -2 and 16.3cmand 7.6m. The yew trees in the Stiwollgraben community grew well, with more than 79% of healthy plants, while healthy plants in the Leininger Riese community were less than 49%. There were significant differences in the patterns of regeneration of yew between the two plots, consistent with the dynamic distribution of their respective ages. 1-year-old sapling, the density of the taxa in the Stiwollgraben woodland was 13,019 plants / hectare, while that of Leininger Riese was only 1,368 plants / hectare. No saplings of 51-150 cm in height were found in the woodlands of Leininger Riese, whereas young saplings of 30-150 cm in height in Stiwollgraben woodlands were found. Under such circumstances, the conservation of taxus in the United Kingdom needs a well-managed protected area, long-term rotation during harvesting, and the need to prevent grazing of livestock and reduce interspecies competition in order to enhance the viability of taxus.
