敬爱的领导及亲爱的同行们:2008年3月12日14时28分,四川省汶川县发生8.0级大地震。截至目前,地震已造成四川、甘肃、重庆、云南等地数万人遇难,统计数据还在不断更新。数以万计的房屋被摧毁,数十万人流离失所,强烈的地震使灾区人民瞬间失去了家园和原本安定的生活,给他们带来了极大的灾难。
Dear Leaders and Dear Colleagues, At 8.05 pm on March 12, 2008, a magnitude 8.0 earthquake hit Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province. So far, tens of thousands of people in Sichuan, Gansu, Chongqing and Yunnan have been killed by the quake. The statistics are still being updated. Tens of thousands of houses were destroyed and hundreds of thousands of people were displaced. A strong earthquake instantly left the people of the disaster-stricken areas with their homeland and their otherwise stable life and brought them great disaster.
