In order to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, meet the new 21st century, with a view to carrying forward the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation and inspiring the sons and daughters of China to strive for the nation’s take-off, with the approval of the Ministry of Culture of the People’s Republic of China, The “China Light of the Century” Chinese Painting Nomination Exhibition co-sponsored by the Center for Culture, Arts and Talents and the Chinese Painting and Art Committee of the Chinese Artists Association was grandly exhibited on the second floor of the China Art Museum from March 18 to March 22, 2000. The exhibition received the concern and support of the leaders of the Ministry of Culture. Sun Jiazheng wrote the order for the exhibition and the concurrently published “Collection of Chinese Calligraphy Exhibition of Chinese Century Light”
