The Health Department of Botswana is developing a method of fund planning and management. In this work, the planners, experts and managers cooperate with each other. The purpose is to enable managers to use funds more effectively to complete the health work. In Botswana, from 1974 to 1987, the number of outpatient clinics and health institutions increased from 50 to 150 and from 23 to 281, respectively. The number of various health personnel has also increased relatively. Many basic health care plans have been established, such as expanding the scope of immunization. The implementation of these measures has doubled the country’s investment in health services.
