本刊讯(本刊记者苏云峰),9月24日,北京协和医院召开建院八十五周年庆典大会,继承和发扬协和优良传统、弘扬协和精神成为大会的主题。会议由医院党委书记鲁重美主持,卫生部党组书记、部长高强同志宣读了吴仪副总理发来的热情洋溢的贺信,卫生部副部长马晓伟代表卫生部发表重要讲话,北京协和医学院刘德培对协和85岁表示热烈祝贺,北京协和医院院长刘谦就协和医院的发展情况、近年来取得的主要成就,向与会者做了介绍。47位为协和医疗学科发展作出突出贡献的老专家教授在这个会议上得到了嘉奖。被嘉奖的教授皆为1985年底前晋升为正教授的老一辈专家,年龄最大的著名儿科学专家周华康教授今年已92岁,年纪最轻的著名呼吸病学专家也已有74岁。
On the 24th of September, Peking Union Medical College Hospital held a celebration meeting for the 85th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The theme of the conference was to inherit and carry forward the fine traditions of the association and to promote the spirit of harmony. The meeting was presided over by Lu Zhongmei, secretary of the Party Committee of the hospital, and Comrade Gao Qiang, secretary of the party group and secretary of the Ministry of Health, read out the warm congratulatory letter sent by Vice Premier Wu Yi. Vice Minister of Health Ma Xiaowei made an important speech on behalf of the Ministry of Health, and Liu Depei from the Peking Union Medical College to Concorde. The 85-year-old expressed warm congratulations. Liu Qian, dean of the Peking Union Medical College Hospital, gave an introduction to the participants on the development of the Union Hospital and the major achievements in recent years. The 47 old professors and professors who made outstanding contributions to the development of the medical disciplines of Concordia were commended at this conference. The award-winning professors were senior experts who were promoted to professors before the end of 1985. Professor Zhou Huakang, the oldest known paediatric expert, was 92 years old this year. The oldest known respiratory expert is also 74 years old.
