王改民中共陕西省委副秘书长、陕西日报社社长、西安交通大学兼职教授、中国书协艺术开发委员会委员、陕西省省直机关书画协会会长、中国书协西安创作基地主任、陕西省书画艺术研究院顾问、西安书学院顾问。其书法从二王人手、兼学赵书,习于佑任先生标准草书用功尤勤。不追求怪异的创新和世俗的流派,以坦荡胸怀,从政之余以学书自喜,博开广识,诗词造诣颇深。其书作气格高古,神采怡然,疏落有致,自成风格。
