2001年4月20日～4月22日,美国中大西洋盆栽大会在新泽西州东汉努佛举行。来自中大西洋地区的盆栽协会会员200多人出席了会议。应大会主席乔治·莱帕特邀请,笔者在会上作了文人树和丛林式水旱盆景示范表演各一场。其中水旱盆景的示范作品已被美国华盛顿国家盆栽博物馆收藏。示范表演是一种短时间内的现场即兴创作。它是国外传播盆栽技艺的重要途径。几乎所有的盆栽大会都少不了这项节目。每场示范表演的时间一般为两个小时左右,须一边操作,一边讲解,事先只能作一些材料准备和初步构思,主要靠临场发挥。因此,操作程序的安排以及时间的控制十分重要。这里通过图片介绍这次水旱盆景示范表演的主要程序。
From April 20 to April 22, 2001, the Mid-Atlantic Pot Festival was held in Nauvoo, New Jersey. More than 200 members of the Bonsai Association from the Mid-Atlantic region attended the meeting. At the invitation of the President of the General Assembly, George Le Pat, the author made a demonstration of the literati tree and jungle-type drought and bonsai demonstration at the conference. Among them, the demonstration works of drought and bonsai have been collected by the National Potted Museum of Washington, USA. Demonstration is a short demonstration of live improvisation. It is an important way to spread potted plants abroad. Almost all of the potted plants are indispensable to the show. The duration of each demonstration is usually about two hours. It is necessary to explain while handling the matter. Only preliminary preparations and preliminary ideas can be made in advance.
