人工种植牧草作为农业结构调整、农民增收的重要途径在全国各地得到较大面积推广。目前一些报刊对牧草的品种、栽培技术报道较多,一些农民朋友对刈割与调制知识知之较少。笔者对此作一简单介绍。一、牧草的刈割1.适宜刈割期:牧草应确定在单位面积营养物质总收获量最高时期进行刈割。禾本科牧草宜在抽穗到开花期刈割,豆科牧草宜在现蕾或初花期刈割。2.刈割高度:刈割过高,会降低产量;刈割过低,会影响牧草再生能力。一般上繁草刈割可高些,留茬5~6厘米;下繁草应低些,4~5厘米。土壤、气候条件好、管理水平高的地方刈割可低些,反之应高些。冬前最后一次刈割留茬10厘米左右,以利安全越冬。3.刈割次数:多年生牧草一年要刈割几次,因
