However, because of differences in geographical environment, ways of thinking, cultural practices, psychological associations and religious beliefs, inequalities exist between English and Chinese idioms. English-Chinese learning dictionary, as an important tool for English learning, has a direct impact on the ability of learners to correctly understand the features and connotation of the source culture and whether they can correctly use idioms to communicate. Domestication / foreignization have their own advantages and disadvantages, but still have important reference to the English idioms learning English idioms translation.
