小高炉结构特点容许强化,燃烧强度和风口间距离、H、H/D、煤气总的压头损失等有关。小高炉强化后的特点是:煤气速度大(为大高炉的1.5~2倍),矿料与煤气接触时间短(为大高炉的1/20),冶炼强度高且顺行,煤气利用不够理想。进一步强化,首先必须改善矿料的还原性,大力提高风温;其次在设备方面改进送风管路,多风口,椭贺风口。在风速较大的前提下,使燃烧带“展宽”,消灭中心料柱与边缘静滞区,缩小H/D之值。
