Two hundred and twenty water samples taken at the time of remediation were taken at the three drinking water systems in New England and at the waterworks, at the same time as the treatment of water, after treatment and after one main water supply had been ruptured, -Endo LES agar medium and the newly-introduced m-T7 agar medium separately and found that more than 90% of isolated Escherichia coli was damaged. The recovery rate of damaged Escherichia coli on m-T7 agar medium was 8 to 38 times that of the m-Endo LES agar medium, and most of the samples
