西气东输工程对我国管道工业的发展及改善大气环境具有重要的意义。选择钢管的型式，在西气东输工程中占有举足轻重的地位。本文根据国情，提出三种选择方案，其中的第二、第三种方案较为切实可行。从螺旋焊管优点以及静压爆破强度、韧性失稳断裂、低温脆性、低循环疲劳强度、流动特性等特殊性能方面入手，进行剖析并与直缝焊管进行比较，得出螺旋焊管可用于西气东输主干线用管的结论。
The project of West-East Gas Pipeline is of great significance to the development of China’s pipeline industry and the improvement of the atmospheric environment. Select the type of steel pipe in the West-East Gas Project occupies a pivotal position.
