They think that information is a source of power for Western society. Who can grasp the important information first, and who can quickly select the information to meet the needs, who is in a strong position. The article briefly describes the three major components of the new information technology: computer, microelectronics, telecommunications technology. Illustrates the four main functions of the new information technology: manufacturing; sending / receiving; storage; display. The early one-way communication model of Shannon and Weaver and the contemporary two-way communication model were introduced, and the new information technology provided a powerful tool for rapid retrieval and selection of large amounts of information.
